01.  Florida

Some of you may already know that we headed to Florida atthe beginning of the school holidays for a two-week break, and it was as closeto perfect as a trip can be. The Kids were in their element at Disney meetingall their favourite characters. The magic they see through their eyes ispriceless!

We headed to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywoodstudios in week one. I wasn’t too sure if the kids would be a bit young for thetrip (Olly is 4 & Oscar is 2) but they loved every minute of it and therewas plenty of rides for them to go on!

Its not all about the little kids though, week two was for the big kids (Mam & Dad) here we headed to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios! These parks seemed a level above Disney and there was still stuff for the kids to enjoy!

02.  LegoLand

We have also had an exciting trip to Legoland Windsor with Olly, his school friend. We kicked off our adventure by driving down early morning, heading straight into the park for a full day of fun. Afterward, we enjoyed tea at Pizza Express, kids have actually ate free here all of the summer holidays. We then settled into our themed room at the Legoland Hotel, complete with bunk beds for the kids. Staying at the hotel gave us early access to the park the next day, allowing us to enjoy even more rides before driving back home that afternoon.

03.  The Lakes

We wrapped up the final week of the school holidays with a wonderful getaway to the Lake District, staying in a charming cottage in Cartmel. It was the perfect base for our family—Matt, Olly, Oscar, and me—to explore the stunning surroundings. My best friend and her family joined us for three days, making the trip even more special. Our days were filled with delicious meals, including a BBQ, hearty pub grub, and the best of local produce like fresh cuts of meat, cheeses, and pies. One of the highlights was a fantastic day out on Lake Windermere, where the kids had a blast driving the boat. We also enjoyed time at the park and the beach, soaking up the late summer sun. Evenings were cosy, spent by the log fire watching films—a perfected to a memorable holiday.
